James Hill – Marine Systems Engineer & Founder
James is a fully-qualified Marine Systems Engineer who has serviced, repaired, and troubleshooted inboard motors all over the world. Now based in Auckland, he’s at the helm of Proactive Marine, offering a range of specialised services to enhance and maintain your boat’s performance.
Servicing: At the core of our approach to safer boating through better maintenance, we service all makes and models of inboard diesel engines. Our B.E.T.A service cycle is designed to deliver maximum reliability with minimum fuss.
Repairs: Marine systems can be intricate, demanding a methodical and logical approach for accurate problem diagnosis. Ian Clouston2022-09-22I have had an overheating issue with my launch for a number of months. After trying all the possible remedies, it still couldn't be solved. I was recommended Proactive Marine to have a look. I left the boat in his hands while I went overseas and came back to a fully working boat. There was no obvious reason for the overheating and Jim took time to find the problem and fix it. I'm very impressed with is work and he even left the boat clean and replaced all the carpets.
